25. July – 30. August 2009
The Kunstmuseum Thun for the first time presents the holders of the Kiefer Hablitzel Scholarship in its premises. The Kiefer Hablitzel Foundation is one of the significant Swiss endowments for the aid of junior artists. In the scope of its sponsorship programme, in collaboration with the Federal Office of Culture, it conducts an annual competition for artists below 30 years engaged in fine arts. After a multi-level selection procedure, the award winners are introduced at Art Basel in the scope of the Swiss Art Awards and get an opportunity to present new works in a Swiss Museum under the title “Under 30”. In 2009, the exhibition with works of the award winners will be conducted at the Kunstmuseum Thun.
Artists in the exhibition: Seline Baumgartner, Irene Bisang, Fabian Chiquet, Sébastien Mettraux, Valentina Pini, Kilian Rüthemann, Simon Senn, Julia Steiner, Lena Maria Thüring, Lukas Wassmann.
A publication (German/French) will be released by Kunstmuseum Thun to mark the occasion.
