Kunstmuseum

The Kunstmuseum Thun will celebrate its 70th anniversary with a comprehensive exhibition. Networks of relationships, ties as well as friendships around the Kunstmuseum Thun and its collection are taken up for the occasion. The wide spectrum of Thun artists particularly characterises the collection and makes it the visual memory of the region. The artworks of the collection are seen in the range of vision of decades, starting now. The journey into the past focuses on personal stories and anecdotes that are told in a variety of ways.

The depot is the heart of the assembled artworks, but not visible to the audience. Only the museum offers an insight. The international renowned Thun artist and musician Julian Sartorius starts here and lets the variety of works in the depot reverberate in an abstract manner in the museum. Furthermore, he creates an acoustic tour through Thun specifically for the exhibition.
