We want a lively and colourful museum that connects art and people. With this in mind, we strive to design our offerings in such a way that everyone can find access to our exhibitions. A selection of works from the collection of the Kunstmuseum Thun are audio-described and thus made accessible to people with visual impairments. The audio-described works can be filtered under our catalogue online. The development of further collection works with audio descriptions is ongoing.

Kunstmuseum Thun is wheelchair accessible. There is a disabled parking space directly in front of the museum. Access to the main entrance is via a staircase. Wheelchair users are advised to use the alternative entrance on the street side. A wheelchair WC is available in the building.

The Thun Panorama is partially wheelchair accessible. The permanent exhibition and the temporary exhibition are wheelchair accessible. The circular painting can be seen from the ground floor, partly with distortion. A wheelchair WC is available in the building.

We offer free public guided tours in the Thun Art Museum, as well as in the Thun-Panorama with translation into sign language. At the same time, an induction loop is available for the audio guides in the Thun-Panorama.

The «Kultur Inklusiv» label is awarded by the Pro Infirmis Inclusive Culture Office to cultural institutions in all sectors. The label partners promote inclusion with their measures in the five fields of action «cultural offer», «content-related access», «structural access», «work offers» and «communication» and are committed to the long-term and holistic cultural participation of people with disabilities.

Kunstmuseum Thun has carried the label since 2016.
